Service Description
Post-op treatment will be multiple sessions. Plan on 10 sessions, understand more or less may be required depending on how extensive the procedure was, if multiple procedures were done at once, and body recovery time - personal to the individual. Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) is a light touch, skin-stretching technique specifically focused on the lymph vessels to help the flow of lymphatic fluid. It is rhythmic and relaxing, but MLD is NOT a massage. MLD helps open lymph collectors and move protein and fluid into them, as well as to help speed up lymph fluid flow through the lymphatics. MLD: *Reduces swelling, bruising, and edema *Accelerates Healing Process *Decreases Pain Naturally Myofascial Release (MFR) is also utilized as a safe, gentle, therapy working Myofasial restrictions that can produce tensile pressure of up to 2,000 pounds of pressure per square inch on pain sensitive structures due to surgery, trauma, and inflammatory response. MFR is also used to treat scar tissue, but only after incisions have healed.
